Optic Rib & Facet Paperweight
A spectacular study of optical effects created by exterior color, pattern, and texture reflected onto an interior surface. This paperweight or small sculpture is a visual feast. A facet is cut through the color revealing the clear bubble within; there is no interior color, just the reflection on the bubble’s surface. The exterior pattern is likened to fish scale and waves on the ocean and is also reminiscent of the pattern found in Tritons (seashells). Our proprietary vortex color mixes are swirled and ribbed creating dark defining lines. Signed and dated by the artist, Michael Trimpol – Little River Hotglass Studio.
